B.C. coach: QB Ryan a fine fit for Falcons, NFL
Boston College football coach and former Falcons assistant Jeff Jagodzinski gives us five reasons Eagles quarterback Matt Ryan would be a fine fit for an NFL team with a need behind center. Like the Falcons:
1. When I first met Matt, I called [offensive coordinator] Steve Logan and said, "I've had this guy before — his name was Matt Hasselbeck." There's no doubt in my mind he's going to have an outstanding pro career.
2. He's a real gym rat and a student of the game. His mind is like a sponge.
3. Matt Ryan's going to make a great pro at whatever he does in life. If you had a son, you'd want him to be just like Matt.
4. He takes command of the huddle, which is what great quarterbacks do. His teammates know this guy is in charge, and they respect him for it.
5. He sees the entire field, and he never panics. Did you happen to catch the end of the Virginia Tech and Clemson games? Need I say more?
